Wide Roots was formed in December 2019, with a mission to expand the audience for the artisanal wines of Europe, by creating an approachable and inclusive environment for wine consumers. We are an importer of European wines, a licensed wholesaler of wine and liquor in Maryland and Washington, DC, and a dealer through our distribution partners:

What does “Wide Roots” mean?
Wide Roots is a celebration of our shared humanity. It is a metaphor of a flower:
- The roots spread in different parts of the world, recognizing the customs and traditions of those lands
- The flower represents each of us, and how we are formed and nourished by the roots
- The combination represents our shared humanity; a love of family and friends that transcends culture and geography. We hope wine is at the center of this celebration.
