Centopassi has received recognition in the Gambero Rosso “Italian Wines” publication, winning the coveted “Tre Bicchieri” (3 glasses) designation for its Terre Rosse di Giabbascio Catarratto white wine, and having many others in its portfolio recognized as high quality and value.
The winery is situated near Palermo, in Sicily, with several vineyards in the local vicinity. Each vineyard is an expression of the land, with soil types, elevation, and proximity to the sea all working its way into the wines.
Centopassi is a farm-based winery and part of the Libera Terra consortium of businesses operating on seized mafia land. They are traditional in manually harvesting vines, and using organic growing practices.
