A producer of the underrated Negroamaro wines, Hiso Telaray operates in the Brindisi province of Puglia, the “heel of the geographical boot” of Italy.
The traditions of winemaking in the Salento zone, as this area is known, are honored and followed by Hiso Telaray. The authenticity and quality of the Hiso Telaray wines are points of pride with the producers.
Hiso Telaray is part of the Libera Terre consortium of farm-based businesses, who operate on lands confiscated from the mafia.
The character of the wine starts in the vineyards. Located in the south with lots of sun, moderated by sea breezes, and grown in soils of red clay, the wines have complex fruit and earthy flavors with the aromas of fresh cut flowers.
